Egmont Park Stud in conjunction with Goldrush Lodge is proud to present ‘Australia’s Super Sire and World Champion’, Mr Feelgood, who will once again be standing in Queensland for the upcoming breeding season. Mr Feelgood has achieved what no other horse in the history of harness racing has done and will probably never do again on the racetrack – win the most gruelling and prestigious race on the North American calendar, the Little Brown Jug, and Australasia’s flagship event, the Inter Dominion Final. Now, he is poised to do the same in the breeding paddock.
Between his amazing deeds in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, the beautiful strong bay son of Grinfromeartoear accumulated a whopping 3.3 million dollars in prize money during his racing career. But when you look at his purple pedigree, do his racetrack feats really come as that much of a surprise? After all, there are more millionaires in his family than there are in Hollywood! Mr Feelgood is a half-brother to millionaire mare, Remember When, and just for good measure, his granddam is champion mare Leah Almahurst (1m), linking him to legendary pacers Western Ideal, Life Sign, Three Diamonds, Naughty But Nice, American Ideal and current World Champion filly American Jewel.
The best of his Northern Hemisphere progeny are Im Feeling Good 1:49.6 winner of over $500k– (The Big Dog), Feels Good 1:53.2 – winner of over $200k (Camluck) and Nathan Feels good 1:53.2 winner also of over $200k (Keystone Raidar). While in Australia he has already begun to make big waves, having produced seven starters and four winners from just 19 live two-year-olds. Heading this line up are Charming Allie winner of over $260k and A Good Chance winner of over $155k.
